Weekly Kratom Industry Updates
Across the country we're facing a growing wave of state-level ban proposals, and the American Kratom Association (AKA) is fully engaged. The AKA is actively tracking and responding to serious developments in states like Iowa, Georgia, Ohio, Virginia, Utah, South Dakota, and South Carolina, and working closely with experienced lobbying teams in each state to stop these bans before they advance.
There has been a rapid escalation of kratom ban bills being introduced at the state level. While this trend is not surprising given ongoing pressure from kratom opponents, it is deeply concerning and it will not make these efforts easy to defeat.
What will make the difference is active, informed, and engaged state advocates. The American Kratom Association (AKA) cannot stop criminalization alone. We need advocates ready to act to stop bans and protect kratom consumers from becoming criminals.
