WEEKLY KRATOM UPDATES: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT DEA NOTICE

As America celebrates freedom, independence, and the rights of Americans to make choices for themselves and their families, the fight to protect kratom consumer freedom continues.

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) announced a scheduling notice targeting synthetic and chemically manipulated products posing as kratom.

There is a lot to unpack.

This DEA action has major implications for kratom consumers, state legislatures, regulators, responsible vendors, and the future of kratom policy across the country. It also reinforces what the AKA has been warning for years:

Chemically manipulated 7-OH products are not natural kratom leaf.

That distinction matters.

The AKA message:

Protect natural kratom leaf.
Regulate responsible kratom products.
Remove dangerous synthetic and chemically manipulated 7-OH products from the marketplace.

Do NOT punish kratom consumers for the actions of bad actors.

On this webinar, the AKA team will break down:

✅ What the DEA scheduling notice says
✅ Why this action is focused on synthetic and chemically manipulated products posing as kratom
✅ What this means for natural kratom consumers
✅ How this could impact state legislative battles
✅ How advocates can help make sure lawmakers do not use 7-OH as an excuse to ban kratom
✅ What comes next in the fight for science-based consumer protection

This is an important moment for every kratom advocate.

The bad actors who created and promoted high-potency 7-OH products should not be allowed to define kratom policy. Responsible consumers should not lose access to natural kratom leaf because synthetic products were falsely marketed as kratom.

That is why your voice is so important.

Please join the AKA this Tuesday 7/7/2026 at 8:00pm ET and help us continue the fight to protect kratom consumers, defend consumer freedom, and advance responsible regulation.

Thank you for standing with the AKA and with kratom consumers across America. 🇺🇸
