⚖️ Tennessee – Two Hearings Scheduled 🚨 Iowa – Ban Bill May Be Debated Monday The Iowa House is moving forward with a kratom ban bill (HF 2133) that could appear on the debate calendar Monday, March 9. This proposal would prohibit kratom instead of regulating it responsibly. 🛑 West Virginia – Ask Senate to Remove Kratom from HB 5214 In West Virginia, lawmakers are considering HB 5214, which includes kratom in legislation that could harm consumers. In Kansas, the Senate passed SB 497 on March 5, which would place kratom in Schedule I of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act, effectively banning the plant statewide. The bill now moves to the Kansas House of Representatives, where it will likely be reviewed by the House Health Committee. Advocates in Kansas should prepare to engage as the bill moves forward. |
