Weekly Kratom Updates: 2/2/2026 - 2/6/2026
|
State-by-state developments can feel confusing and fluid, and it’s not always easy to keep track of what’s happening where. The American Kratom Association (AKA) thanks you all for your patience, trust, and activism. It allows the AKA to respond quickly, push back when necessary, and stay focused on protecting safe, responsible kratom consumers nationwide. We truly appreciate you. On February second a national webinar was held to review all the latest developments in states from California to Virginia; and everything in between like South Dakota, Iowa, Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia and more. Please check out the info below for hearings taking place this week. |

✅ Washington State Update: HB 2291 Good news for Washington kratom consumers: HB 2291 appears unlikely to progress, which is a positive development for safe kratom access. While the bill raised serious concerns for consumers and vendors, current indications suggest it is not moving forward at this time. We will continue monitoring the situation closely, but this pause is a welcome outcome. |
